I returned to Australia yesterday after having a wonderful time abroad.
I spent time in Miami + a week in Boca Raton for the Rule Symposium, followed by a few days in the Bahamas where I was abducted by my taxi driver and taken to a local liquor store - by now I have so many of these stories.. that’s not even in my top 5.
Dallas to Melbourne is over 17 hours flying time and to even get to Dallas I had a ~3 hour flight from Miami so suffice it to say I’ve had some time to think about things.
An idea that came to me during my meditations was that moving forwards, I could run seperate portfolios to cover in this publication:
Royalty & streaming investments - which is my main focus.
An income portfolio - using dividend stocks and options to really juice the yield and provide location-independent income. This was a heavy focus of mine in 2022-2024 when I traveled extensively living a very ‘Maverick Life’. This will be a smaller, seperate portfolio to my private account because I’ve been advised not to share those details and frankly don’t have the bandwidth for any more than I’m already doing.
A prospect generator/venture portfolio - a model I’m starting to like more and more having learned more about it from Uncle Rick. I had the chance to speak with several CEOs of his favourite prospect generators at the conference and it strikes me as a beautiful intersection between the exploration and royalty business models.

Now, many of you have requested my take on more income trades so today I shall do just that in what I consider an extremely attractive set up across 3 names I know and love.

But first..
The 2025 Rule Symposium
The Symposium was held at the luxurious Boca Raton resort. Whilst I couldn’t see myself in Miami long-term (the humidity is next-level) I found Boca to be a truly beautiful place.

The highlights are too many to list, but having the chance to get to know one of my favourite authors - Jim Rickards, whose books occupy a part of my home library was special - he even signed my copy of ‘Currency Wars’.
Now, as you might imagine, none of this expedition could be considered ‘cheap’.
The Boca Raton resort is world-class so with meals + flights + hotels + outlet shopping + gifts for folks back home + Taxi driver ransom, it did run me up quite the tab.
Therefore I decided to dust off my options playbook to see if there was anything the market was offering that could pay for my trip.
I couldn’t believe my luck when I saw that 3 of my favourite names had sold off to the point where I could earn double digit cash returns by selling insurance on them, putting me in the position where the buyers would pay for my trip or I would own more of my favourites for a further 25-30% off!
